Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper flying above a well-attended coastal beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Videos uploaded on the internet capture the chopper starting to spin over the shoreline then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters stated five individuals were taken to hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Officials mentioned the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the next day.
